Richard Width (Associate Artist) Richard serves as an Associate Artist with the Festival and has directed productions of The Winter's Tale, and Othello. For seven years, he served as Education Director for the Festival and directed TYC productions of Troilus and Cressida, The Living Newspapers, King Lear, The Tempest, The Merchant of Venice, Hamlet, The Winter's Tale, and Cymbeline and others. As an actor, he has appeared for the Festival in such roles as Orlando in As You Like It, The Actor in The Woman in Black, Bosie Douglas in Gross Indecency, Macduff in MacBeth, Orsino in Twelfth Night, Demetrius in A Midsummer Night's Dream, Marc Antony in Julius Caesar and "The Douglas" in Henry IV, Part I, Odd Henderson and Haha Jones in Holiday Memories, and as "Richard" in the Festival's 1997 and 1998 revival of The Compleat Works of Wllm Shkspr: Abridged. Nationally, he has appeared on The Guiding Light, in several independent films, with the Texas Shakespeare Festival, and in numerous New York productions. He has trained with the Royal Shakespeare Company, New Jersey Ballet Company, The Actor's Studio, The McCarter Theater, and is a cum laude graduate in which he holds a BFA from Boston University's School of Theater Arts. |
