Welcome to the John and Rita Lowndes Shakespeare Center. Our $3.5 million renovation is now complete.
The Shakespeare Center is a 50,000 sq ft. building located in Loch Haven Cultural Park in downtown Orlando. The center houses our indoor theaters, box office, rehearsal halls, dressing rooms, costume and scene shops, offices and meeting rooms, plus additional room for two other local arts groups. |

As you enter the through the Archway, you are greeted by a cascading water fountain and sculpture of "The Sirens." Step out to the Darden Coutyard or take a stroll through our Gift Shop before seeing a show. The Dr. Phillips Patron's Room (formerly a planetarium) features a beautiful domed ceiling and is available for rental, including catering kitchen. |

The Marilyn and Sig Goldman Theater is our new 118 seat proscenium theater featuring high ceilings, new comfortable seats, enlarged stage and state of the art lighting and digital surround sound equipment. |

The Lobby features our beautiful Donor's Wall with its uniquely themed donor levels based on actual donors to Shakespeare's theater and featuring a life size portrait of Queen Elizabeth. The lobby also contains a large bar and concession stand which serves our patrons before the show and at intermissions. Closed circuit TV's allow you to watch the show from the lobby as well as inside the theaters. |

The Ken and Trisha Margeson Theatre is our new 300 seat thrust theatre with seating on three sides of the stage. No audience member is more than 30 feet from the stage creating an intimate atmosphere even in the largest show. The stage features new intelligent lighting instrumentation, digital "Surround Sound" equipment, entrances through and around the audience, and a trap room under the stage for magical appearances! |
