PLAYLAB

General Information

Welcome to PlayLab!  PlayLab is the Festival's new play development program, which consists of three phases:

PlayLab Readings

The actors rehearse three times, then perform the play in a seated reading for a live audience. Afterwards, the audience is invited to share their feedback. And it's FREE!

PlayLab Workshops 

Our low-cost workshops focus on getting the play "on its feet." Actors rehearse for a week and a half, then perform with scripts in hand, rehearsal props, and a minimum of technical design. Again, audience feedback helps shape the play.

PlayLab Premieres

The final phase is a fully staged production as part of our Signature Series.

PlayFest 04-05  (January 14-23, 2005)!
