The mission of PlayFest is to discover and develop exciting new plays by the Bards of tomorrow. Would you like to help them get their start? PlayFest is thrilled to present a new sponsorship opportunity to firms and individuals who want to help create tomorrow’s next great play today! For $1000 you, or you company can officially Adopt a Playwright! You, your group, or your company will receive: Official Recognition as the adopting sponsor before the reading of your adoptee’s latest work; A nicely covered, autographed (by the author), keepsake copy of the script as presented on the night of your adoptee’s reading; A photograph of you (or your representatives) with your adoptee, taken on the night of the reading of their work; The satisfaction of knowing that YOU are responsible for helping great work happen right here in Orlando!
How it WorksA first reading with all the support we can provide is a vital time in the development of a new play. This gives the author access to professional actors, directors, our state-of-the-art facilities, etc., all provided by the Festival. Your $1000 will serve to bring your playwright to Orlando to work on the play during the rehearsal process.
